A common problem among network marketers and affiliate marketers is that they are often faced with the dilemma of what to use for a landing pages for their prospects and leads. Very often they simply opt to use the “canned” landing page the program has given them, or worse, direct link to the vendor themselves. There are several problems with this.
First of all, using the canned pages provided by the network marketing program makes ranking in the search engines a virtual impossibility. Especially in light of the recent Google “Panda” and Penguin updates. Google is in the business of creating the best experience for their users, and this means that they will show the “authoritative” version of that page, which invariably is the one from the program itself. Your page will be relegated to the “supplemental results”, which effectively means it will never be seen in a direct search.
This is fine if the only way you want to drive traffic is with paid methods, or social media. Just don’t expect any search engine love!
Also, direct linking to a page that’s not yours severely limits how you can market. Google Adwords for instance restricts the people who can link to a specific page in some instances. Having a less than original landing page can sink you before you get started!
Much better to have a unique landing page where you not only can create and control the content, but one that has a chance to rank on its own. You can build links to it, market it any number of ways, and in short be more in control of your site’s destiny. Doesn’t that sound like a better way to go?
Here’s a better solution that I use to create unique and converting landing pages every time. It’s easy to use and won’t break the bank!
